FMP – Logline and Synopsis

Logline/Elevator Pitch: An isolated immortal nurtures an egg in a desperate attempt to pursue her former mortality.

Synopsis: A lone immortal inhabiting an abandoned cathedral grapples with isolation and bloodlust.  Trying to remedy these feelings and restore the humanity of her past life, she chooses to try and raise a bird egg she discovers tucked away in a crumbling crevice of a cemetery.  She nurtures the egg, awaiting it’s hatching. A nearby town is raucous and full of life, paralleled with the desolate silence of the vacant cathedral. Amidst this pursuit of morality and life, she is overcome by her vampiric nature, being tempted into hedonistic and gluttonous urges, a sporadic bombardment of images assaulting her mind. In spite of these overwhelming temptations, she continues to raise the egg until it hatches. An abhorrent and repugnant creature emerges from the egg. The immortal croons and coddles it, until she smells the blood in which it is caked. Her urges get the better of her and she ravages the fetus, ultimately succumbing to her very nature. She casts the silvery egg shells into a pile of similarly hollow and lifeless shells, showing her destructive cycle, harvesting life after life.
