ELEMENT 1 – FMP SHOWREEL
Show reel of a collection of tests I did for various workshops, including animation skills, character design and stop motion. The last test includes a soundscape based on the theme “silence”, so I interpreted it as the music that is often featured in silent films, drawing from 1920’s German expressionism to create my stop motion narratives.
EXPLORATORY WORKSHOPS – STORYBOARDING
Single session workshop delving into developing storyboarding skills. Focusing on coming up with fast paced ideas on flash cards that showed a narrative. I learnt that the technique of using flash cards is useful due to the fact one is able to rearrange the cards, allowing for the chance to influence pacing.

I did these designs very experimentally, but felt that it was my strongest design so far and decided to ultimately use this character due to how much I had enjoyed designing her.
PERSONAL PROJECT – Animatic
First time using Toon Boom Storyboard Pro to create a storyboard and subsequent animatic. A valuable learning experience in the nature of the program which I wish to develop further.
